Osorno Volcano & Petrohué Falls: A Journey into Untamed Nature

Description

We will start our adventure from Puerto Varas, the charming "City of Roses." Driving along the shores of Lake Llanquihue, we will enjoy a moving postcard view with the majestic snow-capped Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes in the background, until we reach the Ensenada sector. From there, we will begin our ascent to the Osorno Volcano Ski & Mountain Center, located at an altitude of 1,240 meters (4,068 ft). At this point, we will stay for about an hour to: Capture incredible photos: Enjoy panoramic views of the summit, eternal snow glaciers, Lake Llanquihue, and on clear days, even the Pacific Ocean. Relax or Explore (Optional): You can enjoy a coffee or sandwich at the cafeteria, or if you seek more adventure, take the chairlifts (ticket not included) to ascend to Station Primavera (1,450 m) or Station Glaciar (1,750 m), where the views are simply breathtaking. Later, we will head into the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park towards the Petrohué sector, located on the shores of Emerald Lake (Todos los Santos). There, we will take a gentle walk along trails surrounded by an evergreen forest under the imposing presence of the volcano. The highlight of the trip will be visiting the Petrohué Falls (entrance fee required). Here, we will witness the power of nature: turquoise waters dancing and rushing through large masses of crystallized lava, a unique geological formation immune to centuries of erosion. An unmissable visual spectacle in the Lake District!
